Octet Competition (hosted by HarmonyTown Chorus)
On a serious note, you may sign up as an individual and we'll help form an octet for you. Or sign up your octet to compete!
What does octet really mean? Well, could be a group of 8 people. Maybe 10, or 12. Could be 4 or 5, or 6. The number 8 is a pretty loose term here. If you want to sing, you are welcomed here. Bring a whole chorus or just bring yourself. Men, women, young and old, we're just here for a night of fun that everyone can get involved in.
Sign up via our Google form and count yourself in! https://forms.gle/T2efRRLuHcri6qw6A
Anyone signing up who wishes to be placed in a quartet should come prepared to sing their voice part on one of the songs below:
-My Wild Irish Rose
-Let Me Call You Sweetheart
-King of the Road
-(really any PoleCat from volumes 1 or 2)
-Come Go With Me
-Under the Boardwalk
-Hello Mary Lou
-Jingle Bells
-Jingle Bell Rock
We will have 'official judges' (to be named later) but we're quite sure everyone who sings, or watches, will walk away a winner. Open to the public so bring a friend (who sings or just enjoys watching). You are welcome to join more than 1 group as well. If you need material for any of the songs listed above, just ask and we'll get that over to you.
Food to be provided later in the evening. Admission is $8 for everyone that attends.

2 pm – Story-telling
Join us for this family-oriented art festival featuring yeti-inspired handcrafted arts & crafts, storytelling, scavenger hunt, movie and music. With all the nature-loving hills residents, it's sure to be unforgettable.
Yeti Fest is a celebration of our large friends in the woods - a party for our large human-like mammals that also go by Big Foot and Sasquatch. People all over the world have legends about these creatures. Who are they? What do they look like?
This is a free art event for young people and other believers who want to encourage their imagination and create new artwork. This is also a juried arts and crafts event for artists to sell their work and make a greater name for themselves in the local art community. Artists can bring artwork of other woodland creatures and supernatural beasts, as long as a prominent amount of their work is devoted to the Yeti/Big Foot/Sasquatch.
Yeti Fest will follow all of the State of Michigan rules for large public events.

Come Learn ‘You’ve Got a Friend In Me’
The real details: We are starting a truly powerful and rewarding program called the Music Medics where we will be visiting children’s hospitals and singing children’s songs to kids who could use a smile and a laugh. This program will begin once hospitals allow visitors again. For now, we are getting the music part ready and this song will be the first one in that series. We will focus attention on this song between 7:45pm-8:30pm each Tuesday for the next month and we would love new male voices to come and join us. ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me’ is the theme song from the movie Toy Story and translates easily into a fun barbershop style version. The name of the song is really a metaphor for what we want to be for these kids.
This really will be an experience that we as singers will never forget. The HarmonyTown Chorus prides itself on giving back whenever possible and could not be more excited to get the Music Medics program started.
Masks required while in the building. All materials will be provided. No musical experience required. We have learning track audio for each voice part. All ages welcome.
