Meet our musical director Scott Casey — Bred from a musical family, Scott became a barbershopper in 1985 and had his first directing in the early 90’s. Scott recalls, “my first directing assignment was Precious Lord, Take My hand. I was shaking like a leaf in a tornado...and (even now) still feel the same excitement and joy from it all!” Scott served in many capacities with the chapter while continuing to whet his appetite with directing chores whenever they came his way. He assumed the duties of Chapter Chorus Director in 1999. Besides directing, Scott enjoys occasionally “infiltrating” the lead or even the bass sections when Associate Director, Marv Skupski, is directing a song. He also enjoys singing with the quartet “Treblesome” which has been “remixed” several times! Scott’s enthusiasm for our hobby is infectious and he is always looking for ways to let the community share in the joy we all feel when singing 4-part harmony. Scott’s determination to make our music accessible has kept the repertoire of the chorus varied and fun for members and audiences alike. |
